| Engineers and managers already know that there are many risks associated with the development and acquisition of software. Unfortunately, there is a great difference between knowing about the risks and effectively managing them. Often, how your project recognizes and handles these risks makes the difference between failure and success of the entire effort. This presentation will discuss what risk management is and talk about different approaches (both good and bad) to risk management. In addition, this presentation will cover some common risks that universally plague software development and acquisition projects, and then cover ways to mitigate these common risks. | |
