"ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 and ISO/IEC/IEEE 12207: The Entry-Level Process Standards"
Monday 26 April 3:30 PM - 4:15 PM
Track 3

ISO/IEC/IEEE 12207 and 15288 provide a harmonization set of life-cycle processes suitable for software products, software-intensive systems, and general human-made systems. The provided processes encompass the entire life of the system or product from its conception through retirement. Some have the mistaken idea that these standards are suitable only for advanced organizations that have the resources to implement comprehensive organizational processes. This presentation takes the view that 12207 and 15288 are the entry-level standards for individuals and organizations interested in implementing or getting guidance for individual processes.
