|
Monday 26 April
3:30 PM - 4:15 PM
Track 4
|
Agile Software and Systems Engineering (SSE) practices provide an innovative approach for meeting the challenges many information technology and software-related programs and projects are facing. Agile SSE is designed to adapt to a dynamic global environment, advanced technologies with shortened life-cycles, and requirements volatility. As these practices become mainstream and find their way into large systems environments, program managers and project teams face challenges as they strive to plan and estimate work, measure progress, and collect metrics.
Using a scenario approach based on project experiences, this presentation introduces agile practices and the multi-levels of planning. An overview of the most relevant measures for managing agile projects is discussed. Having appropriate measures are necessary for understanding project progress and enhancing communication while providing valuable information to stakeholders. The rules for developing software systems are changing. Project teams need to understand these new rules and their roles in this environment.
