Track 4

A new approach is needed to meet the dynamic challenges facing today's business environments. Agile software and systems engineering (SSE) provides an innovative approach to meet the challenges many information technology and software-related programs face. Agile SSE is an approach for managing quick reaction capabilities, a dynamic global environment, advanced technologies with shortened life-cycles, and high requirements volatility. Agile SSE thrives on and embraces change by adopting a process that manages requirements volatility, provides shortened iterative development cycles, and provides frequent demonstrations of working functionality. The importance of collaboration is necessary to meet the needs found in a complex adaptive environment.

This is designed as an interactive tutorial to engage participants in the discussion and to practice some of the concepts at an introductory level. This information provides participants with some ideas and techniques that can be implemented as they make the transition to more agile and adaptive practices.
