Prepare for SE Certification with an INCOSE Tutorial

Course Cost: $395

Interested in Systems Engineering certification? John Clark, Director of Education & Training for the International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Hampton Roads Area Chapter, and a Chief Engineer in the Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector, will present a 2-day tutorial immediately preceding the SSTC conference. This tutorial provides an overview of the INCOSE SE Handbook to help you prepare for the INCOSE SE Certification exam. The tutorial covers the Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) process as well as the sections and appendices of the SE Handbook, Version 3.1 (the basis for the certification exam), in a study group format. It also provides tips on filling out your CSEP application. The tutorial consists of 14 sections from Saturday, April 18 through Sunday, April 19, from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. each day. IEEE Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) Preparation Course and Certification Exam - CANCELLED

Course Cost: $569 for IEEE Members / $669 for Non-Members
This package includes: 2.5 days training, CSDP e-learning, and exam.

Notice: This course may be cancelled if the minimum of 15 registrants is not met. SSTC and IEEE liability is limited to a refund of registration fees only.

CSDP preparation courses will be taught by an IEEE CS certified instructor, this 2.5-day course will help mid-level software engineering professionals prepare for the IEEE Computer Society CSDP examination. The course will discuss the concepts and topic areas that the CSDP exam is based on, as well as test-taking tips and a sample exam. CSDP demonstrates an individual’s mastery of the fundamental knowledge required to perform the function of an experienced software engineer.

CSDP is the only professional software engineering certification that covers three critical components:

  • Demonstrating mastery of a Body of Knowledge (BOK)
  • Confirmation to employer of employee extensive experience of software engineering
  • Continuing professional education measured and relevant to BOK.
The CSDP exam has 180-question, and takes 3.5 hours to complete.
