Major Kurt Warner

Major Kurt Warner is 20-year veteran of the United States Army. During his distinguished career of service he has several combat tours to his credit, including: Operation Enduring Freedom - 1 (Afghanistan), Operation Iraqi Freedom - 1 and currently Operation Iraqi Freedom - 3, from where he has just returned. Major Warner's awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Army Achievement Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Army Aviator Badge, the Army Senior Parachutist Badge and the Air Assault Badge. His current assignment is as the XVIII Airborne Corps' Knowledge Management Officer, where he has spearheaded the development of a revolutionary new system called "FusionNet", part of the Defense Department's Horizontal Fusion initiative used to track and communicate with soldiers deployed in remote areas worldwide. Major Warner received his degree in Industrial Technology from Black Hills State University and was commissioned in May of 1990 into the Aviation Branch of the U.S. Army. Previous to attending BHSU, he was an enlisted Infantryman for five years.
