The college offers six principal academic concentrations. The Advanced Management Program, a fourteen-week executive development program for information area leaders. The Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO) Certificate Program, a series of one-week intensive courses in the CIO Competencies adopted by the Federal CIO Council, with a concentration program in Information Assurance. The NDU Electives Program, offers courses in information policy, technology, and management for students at the National War College and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. The team centers its activities on technology insertion efforts for network-centric solutions. The Q-70 family of workstations is the first combat computer using state of the art open-systems architecture. This flexible, tactical workstation is configured using high-performance Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) modules housed in military or ‘ruggedized’ enclosures. Q-70 hardware and software architecture provides the cornerstone for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Tracking (C4ISRT) systems for the Navy and Department of Defense. PEO EXW and SPAWAR developed the NC Q-70 architecture. As the prime contractor, Lockheed Martin Tactical Systems designed and built the rack configurations of server, disk arrays, and networking components.
